Emily Adams, MPT
The Professional
Emily completed her Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) from UBC and has worked in the Sea to Sky corridor ever since. Prior to completing her MPT, Emily attained her Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree (BHKIN) at the University of British Columbia Okanagan while playing on the Varsity Golf Team. Emily worked as a Kinesiologist for one year before starting her post graduate degree at UBC. This experience as a kinesiologist helped her gain plenty of knowledge regarding exercise rehabilitation, knowledge that she still incorporates into her practice today. Emily has worked in Whistler for several years, as well as North Vancouver and now Squamish. She enjoys working with athletes, pelvic floor clientele, and clients suffering from chronic pain. Emily helps her clients overcome their injuries or pain through a combination of strength training, mobility, manual therapy and IMS as needed.
The Person
Emily was born and raised in British Columbia. She grew up on Vancouver Island, lived in Kelowna for five years, as well as other parts of BC while completing her Master of Physical Therapy. She loves this province and has no plans to leave. Emily loves to travel and explore the world. Clients who have any travel advice – she is all ears. She is always thinking about her next trip. In her spare time, you’ll find Emily on the ski hill, bike trails, the golf course, or running through the local mountains. She completed the Squamish 50km race in 2024, and has since become hooked on running around Squamish with her dog Sam.
She is always eager to expand her knowledge, learn new techniques and exercises and stay up to date with the latest evidence.
